Digitally Printing Vivid Product
Mimaki, Vutek, Roland, Gandi and Epsom; whichever printer is used it should have a Pieza head.
Sublimation inks for polyester should be used. Pigments can be used in some applications.
Method of Printing:
Transfer printing where you print on paper and transfer it to the Vivid product by heating it to 390ºF with a dwell time of approximately 20 seconds.
Printing directly on the Vivid fabric using sublimation ink, then heating fabric to 390ºF for about five seconds. This method offers superior hand and less ink to achieve the same shade.
Please note that temperatures and dwell times will vary depending on the machine and inks used and the desired end product trying to be attained. Huntsman Chemical has a good ink for this process.
Spectro Coating prides itself on being a good steward of the environment. Vivid HD fabrics are made in the USA with domestic raw materials. We only use water based, low VOC chemicals. Vivid HD fabrics have a much smaller carbon footprint than imported fabrics that travel so far to reach our markets.
